For this fall, punkrock appears to be back!
We see plaid prints everywhere, even in a wrap around the waist version, which is very Nirvana ofcourse. Not sure about that look yet, but we do love a nice plaid skirt or coat as a standout piece in a more basic outfit.
Want some plaid? Good old Zara always delivers, and has a good amount of plaid printed items in their fall collection.
Need some inspiration? Here are our favourite looks:
We love blogger Lizzy van der Ligt in this Ganni coat!

While everybody is leaving New York for London, here’s a recap of New York Fashion Week. We filtered out all our favourite designers and looks for you, short but sweet!
Have fun browsing!
Romantic flowy dresses next to sporty mesh skirts, always with the cool preppy vide this brand is known for. And yes, socks in sandals are back!
70’s glamour girls on the african savanne, that’s what comes to mind when looking at DVF SS14. Golden hues and warm orange, blue and yellow, like a sunset. We loved the african print dresses!
In Opening Ceremony’s first ever runway show we see boxy silhouettes, mixed prints and neon colors. We like the all blue combination shown above.
Wow, this we love! Black and white mixed with metallic, and those sunglasses are pretty rad, too! Not sure about the hair, though…
Rodarte brought us fringe, plaid, animal prints, leather and heavy belts. Not for the faint at heart and a pretty eclectic mix, but it worked anyway. Also, the crop top is a keeper!
Again, the bare midrif is a hit on the SS 2014 runway. Alexander Wang showed us pyama style. and it looks like you can wear your boyfriends boxershorts to work next summer. Not sure about that look, but we love the miniskirt in blue and white.
Sporty satin looks with a fifties twist, flowy trousers and white sneakers in almost every look, that we like! Marc by Marc Jacobs collection looks fresh and wearable, exept for the neckties, maybe…
Proenza Schouler nailed it for spring 2014 with pleats in silver and gold, a really classy version of the cropped waist and graphic black and white prints. This collection is a personal fave!
Just a little inspiration for the weekend! Obsessed with this new variation on the ‘Iron Girl’ sweater by Rika. Pair it with a leather skirt and some sneakers for a relaxed but feminine look.
Sweater: Rika
Skirt: MSGM
Sneakers: New Balance

I’m pretty much obsessed with these FW2013 boots by Sandro Paris.
They’re bulky, but not too much, they have that Balenciaga-esque cut out and a perfectly good amount of hardware.
The thing is, I cannot find these beauties anywhere, so let’s hope these babies hit the stores anytime soon, so we can stock up on our winter boots!
